Remarks & Notes
Lucky shot! Here's a meet I thought I would never, ever catch. In the foreground, Union Pacific's LJL41 local works the Tintic Industrial Lead while across the the fields of alfalfa, UP's LUL57 local heads west on the Sharp Subdivision. Both locals originated at Provo early on the morning of June 25, 2010. The Tintic Branch is of D&RGW heritage while the Sharp Sub is historically Union Pacific's old Provo Subdivision mainline to Lynndyl. Both trains are technically timetable westbound. This angle is true 'guardrailfanning' at it's best, captured from the shoulder of southbound Interstate 15.
