| No. 40 rolls downgrade out of the tunnel on the NN branch between East Ely and the mines at Ruth/Copper Flat. The Nevada Northern was a common-carrier, so the consist is appropriate, even on a branch line that supported mostly ore traffic. The boxcars were used to take supplies and goods up to the mines. |
