About 15 minutes off schedule in 4 degree temps and plenty of snow to freeze the Amfleet coach steps, Amtrak Vermonter train 55 is heading into Randolph, VT with P42 105 leading the normal compliment of 5 cars and P42 104 on the rear end.

The successor to the Montrealer, the Vermonter runs between St. Albans, Vt., and Washington, DC. Much of the northern part of the route runs along the Connecticut and White Rivers.
