A four aspect signal? Not quite. After years, or what seemed like years with all the coverage of this spot recently, of worry to the falling of the old searchlight signals at Naperville, the day has finally come. November 19'th BNSF crews took down the old search light signals on M3 from MP 29.7 to MP 27.2 and activated the new BNSF Darth Vader signals. Seen here is a sort of mid-work shot, though they activated the new signals for the EB M3 at W. Naperville Control Point hours before they actually cut the track over to them and took the old search lights down. The track was opened in time for the evening rush, which doesn't see much eastbound traffic, but it did help with the westbound expresses. November 20'th would be spent switching the signals on M2, and November 21'st would be spent switching the signals on M3. Bye bye Naperville signals!
