| The LS&I was a great place to spend some time back in the 80's. Once you checked in for a pass it was normally ok to wander about taking pictures anywhere that seemed reasonably safe. It wasn't until later years that you would be advised to not climb on a train unless invited by the crew, do not climb on signals, enter the shop unless invited and do not go out on the ore dock. Apparently a few "fans" had pushed the edge of the envelope. This shot is of 1852 along with a few other Alcos getting a little work done in the Eagle Mills shop before being sent back to ore train duty. |
