Remarks & Notes |
A loaded "C" train rolls through the cut in Fork Ridge at Appalachia on ex-Southern rails. When trackage was initially constructed into Appalachia by the L&N and SA&O, the ridge was pierced by a tunnel. The "C" commonly stood for "consolidated" as these loads will be consolidated with additional loads at Yuma for the remainder of the trip to Bulls Gap. |
