| The far eastern end of the Deseret Ry in Colorado is further from my home in Utah than the western end near the Bonanza Power Plant. Consequently, I don’t get to see or photograph it as often. Largely because of today’s gorgeous winter weather I ventured east and caught the DRy’s empty coal train rolling off the last couple of miles to the Deserado loadout. The scenery on the east end is better in my mind due to bold and colorful rock outcroppings that are largely absent on the west end.. |
