Remarks & Notes |
ARR Jordan Spreader #9 sits on the fuel rack coupled to a pair of Geeps ready for "snow fleet" service keeping the mainline open. #9 is a special machine as it is the newest Jordan Spreader in the land having been constructed in 2001 by Harsco Track Technologies the corporate successor of the O.F. Jordan Co. This type J model follows more than a century of spreaders dating to the very first one designed by Canada Southern Roadmaster Oswald F. Jordan. Note: the photographer is a railroad employee with permission to be in the yard and was wearing all required PPE while taking this photograph. |
