| Golden sunlight breaks through scattered clouds on a summer morning at Deserado Mine in the northwest corner of Colorado. The Deseret Power Railway yard and mine loadout are quiet for the moment, but soon the sounds of coal booming into empty cars and various maintenance activities getting underway will intrude upon the still morning.
