Remarks & Notes

CSX Q144 is not far out of Chester Yard in Montgomery as it heads north through Mt. Meigs on the former Western Railway of Alabama. You could really see some great consists running up and down the old A&WP/WofA in those days, this one being no exception with three UP SD40-2s and an ex-CR B36-7.
