Remarks & Notes
Galpón San Martín was one of the very small group of running sheds in Argentina with a "roundhouse" layout. And in August 1994 it was certainly the only one which remained operational. Ferrosur Roca's GM-EMD built GT22 #9019 was in the process of being turned in the electric-drive turntable. And while the roundhouse hostler operated the table from the shanty at the right of the scene, a rambling dog inattentively roamed in the foreground. Number 9019 was the first example of the new (by then) blue and white color cheme applied by Ferrosur Roca to replace Ferrocarriles Argentinos' red and yellow.
