| 8049-602-607-RL304 work an empty ore westbound at Maitland. 8049 is the second last Alco 80 class built in 1983 followed by DL541 Alco 602 built in 1969 then DL541 Alco 607 built in 1965 [was number 600 but renumberred] with GM RL304 AT36c built in 2007 on the rear of the lashup. Most surviving DL541's are operated by preservation groups and many have been scrapped but these two old units just keep working for a living. |
