Only a half-hour into its journey from Los Angeles to Chicago, two passengers are removed from Amtrak #4, the eastbound Southwest Chief, in Fullerton, California, on September 13, 2010. (One of them, seen here with the plaid shorts waiting for his friend to emerge from the coach, seemed to be having a difficult time walking in a straight line.) With the train's longer than expected stop in the station, an eastbound freight crept up behind this train, stopping just a hundred feet or so behind it. The thirteenth wasn't lucky for these two!
