With a six month old ES44DC on the point, BNSF Railway's Stockton, CA to Provo, UT trackage rights manifest heads east through Riverton, Utah. This 61 car mixed freight is climbing out of a short trench on a new grade separation project under 114th South Street. Technically the BNSF 7800 is running on brand new UTA commuter rail trackage through a shoofly while a parallel UPRR mainline is constructed. The Avenues neighborhood north of downtown Salt Lake City is visible at left above the train, about 18 miles away along the Wasatch foothills.
