Don Crimmin and an unidentified Amtrak conductor tromp to the pocket track's manual switch. Once thrown, the headlight will illuminate on the (then) 64-year-old beast and it will begin its journey towards La Crescent, MN. This was day one of my involvement in the Friends of the 261. The rebuild is underway right now, and any donation of any kind helps it get one step closer to moving under its own power once again.
