With 261 hovering overhead, volunteer Pat and long-time employee Jim French (eyeing the camera) hold a cable together until the electric hoist used to pull the 14,000 lb main driver engages completely. The Friends of the 261 lifted the locomotive in order to remove the main drivers for re-profiling at a nearby shop.
