| GP30 #520, still wearing its original GM&O paint scheme, leads a southbound out of the Bloomington yards past BN Target tower. The tower here protected the crossing of the ICG's Chicago to St. Louis main with the N&W Peoria branch and Conrail's Pekin branch. BN Target was always considered an unapproved interlocker, requiring all trains to stop at the home signal before proceeding. |
