| Here's a strange move. This is actually a Morristown & Erie train, powered by borrowed NS GP40-2 #3010. This train is being picked up from NJT and brought to the M&E shops in Morristown. The first two cars are private cars that are being stored on the M&E. The 14 Comet IB coaches behind them have been purchased by the California Transportation Department (CalTrans) and are getting brake work done by the M&E before heading out to California. Not a single piece of equipment on this M&E train actually belongs to the M&E! Photo taken with permission. |
