One of the highlights of the Colorado Railroad Museum's collection is Denver and Rio Grande Western F9 #5771. This streamlined covered wagon has been restored to appear much as it did when factory fresh from Electro Motive Division in September 1955. It worked in freight and passenger service on D&RGW rails for 29 years until it was placed in storage at Burnham Shops in 1984. F9A #5771 and F9B #5762 were donated to the CRRM by the Southern Pacific Railroad on August 23, 1996 and it's cosmetic restoration was completed on March 21, 1999.
