| The EJ&E ran the Rock Islands line from Joliet to Peoria IL on a 60 day Directed Service order in May and June. The J attempted to buy this line from the Rock's Trustee but B&OCT (Chessie) made a better offer and is still operating this line from Joliet to Utica today. Iowa Interstate has trackage rights over this line to connect with their routes to Peoria and Council Bluffs IA over the old Rock Island trackage.
