In almost a year since I was last up the CN Tower, significant changes are apparent to the TRHA's Toronto Railway Heritage Centre at the old CP John Street Roundhouse below. The roof has been fixed, construction is finished, the safety fences are gone and all of the tarps have been removed from the outdoor equipment. Historic "Cabin D" and the old Don Station have been lovingly resurrected on site, and the magnificent CN Northern 6213 sits beneath the dual coaling towers alongside resplendent GP7 CN 4803. 50-Ton Whitcomb switcher #1 in TH&B colors holds the place of honor on the turntable today, just a few days after the Centre's "Doors Open" day.
