| Back in May 1950 the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club ran a charter on the D&RGW. For the occasion, the 489 was painted with a green boiler. In order to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the occasion and 40th anniversary of the Cumbres & Toltec the 489 again dawned the green jacket. She pulled a photo charter at the beginning of the C&TS season this year. She is seen here just outside of Antonito. |
