3. Valley City, North Dakota is home to BNSF's large trestle that runs over the entire city. Canadian Pacific also runs around the town and under BNSF tracks. I think the temp was around 10 degree this night as I waited for a BNSF train. I saw 2 Canadian Pacific trains run through in the meantime. I could hear the 3rd CP train blowing it's horn off in the distance as it was approaching from the west. Then I heard a BNSF of in the distance also. With CP running a little slower the timing work out perfectly. Here you can see the BNSF coal train crossing over the city while a CP freight lit up the crossing below.
