| N&W Operator Mel Marsh lines a signal on the US&S TCS board for a train running on the Toledo Terminal Railroad. This board incorporated a small segment of TCS for the Toledo Terminal in addition to controlling the crossing of the N&W (NKP/W&LE) and the Toledo Terminal. My stops at Ironville were frequent back in those days and Mel was probably one of the most pleasant and knowledgeable tower operators I ever had the opportunity to meet. Although Mel is no longer with us, I have no doubt he would be pleased with this photo of himself at work. |
