| WC 6502,6004,6522 work the west end of the yard at the Algoma Ore Division (AOD) near Wawa. The smelter is just out of sight on the right of the photo. WC inherited this ore operation when they bought the ACR, but it was short lived as financially troubled Algoma Steel had to close the operation down in the summer of 1998. The trackage and the plant are both now long gone. |
