A BNSF welder fills in a switch frog with a steady weld just outside of Northtown Yard. Once the weld is laid, he will grind and shape the original contour of the rail. He has many tools at an arms length away which he uses to get the right weld and shape. He uses the wood blocks and steel blocks to keep his work sharp and crisp.
