| The Columbia & Reading Railway (CORY) conductor rides on the steps of the Alco S2, prepared to hop off to flag the 4th Street grade crossing. The crew is bringing two loads of scrap to the interchange with Norfolk Southern in downtown Columbia. This was the first revenue move on this former Reading branchline in approximately 20 years. These trips to the interchange will also be the only time to view the Alco as it is parked in a secure, locked and patrolled location when not in use. |
