This was a lucky find on a foray to check out the Metro-North "Mini" at Waterbury. This GP-40 is running around its train of scrap metal gons in preparation for heading back northeast to Plainville over the old New Haven "Highland" line. While perusing a New Haven Railroad picture book this evening, I saw a photo of this same yard taken back in the 1960s. Other than the dilapidated condition of the track and lack of freight cars, it doesn't seem a whole lot has changed here.
