Remarks & Notes
Steam powered trains pass at one of the most hallowed spots on any tourist railroad. The Strasburg Railroad recreates scenes that would have been commonplace 100 years ago, but are rare in the 21st century. In this one, Great Western Railway decapod #90 heads west toward Cherry Hill with nine wooden coaches in tow, while Norfolk & Western 12-wheeler #475 passes eastbound with a mixed train on a siding. There are but 4 places left in the US where steam trains pass each other with any regularity, and nowhere does it happen more often than in Cherry Hill, Pennsylvania.
