Waterbury Union Station's signature clock tower is the most prominent feature of the city's skyline. The rail part of the station has been reduced to a platform and parking lot, but the building is still active as the offices for the local newspaper. While it would be nice to see Amtrak service at Waterbury, ConnDOT purchased this unit from Amtrak in 2008. It's seen here ready to depart with a Metro-North Waterbury shuttle down to Bridgeport.
