Coal empties headed back west, roll into the Chicago area on the Indiana Harbor Belt. The train is ducking under the Metra Electric and CN elevated lines between downtown Chicago and Markham Yard. The back of the train is laying over Dolton Crossing, rattling over ex MoPac/C&EI and L&N (now UP and CSX) tracks. In a few hours, it will have moved through the labyrinth of tracks in Chicago, and will continue westbound on the BNSF Transcon.
