| LS&I 1804,1852,1801 head for Tilden with 120 empties on a scorching July day. Power was dropping like flies on this day due to overheating, and probably may have caused LS&I management to rethink the policy of making do with the elderly roster of Alco's and GE's. The next spring/summer brought replacements in the form of Ex BN U30C's. LS&I 1804 was the last RSD-12 built by Alco.
