| One of my rarest catches of the year! Only 3 or 4 sets of passenger coaches remain in their original South African Railways (SAR) red and grey livery, and these are only used in peak holiday periods. So I was lucky indeed to catch one of these sets behind a 6E1 in matching original SAR red livery, working a holiday extra from East London to Johannesburg. The train is pulling out of Koppies, which still has operational semaphore signalling. |
