| It's Christmas Eve 2009 and Santa came early this year to provide a couple of nice Christmas presents: several inches of snow and a Cotton Belt unit leading a train. Catching SP/SSW units are getting about as rare as getting a north Texas snow. It is hard to beleive that it was 75 degrees just 24 hours ago and now near white out conditions are occuring at times with 40+ mph winds and a temp around 28 degrees. It was not long after this photo was taken that 2-3 inches of snow covered most of the area which will provide for a rare white Christmas in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. |
