A Utah Railway coal empty slams across the facing and trailing crossovers at CP RG632, Lynn. The large soot glazed rock at right has witnessed the passage of hundreds of thousands of trains since rails were spiked to wooden ties in Price Canyon in the 1880's. A list of players along these rails would of course include the Denver & Rio Grande Western and the Utah Railway Company. In contemporary times the roster would be expanded to include the Southern Pacific, the Union Pacific, the Burlington Northern & Santa Fe, and Amtrak.
