| It's bright and early on a Utah County morning, and the crew of Union Pacific's CSKBS has begun their day. The BNSF 4885 and siblings are not a common sight along Union Pacific's Sharp Subdivision, but a joint power agreement has brought this trio of GE units to work on the UP. Another oddity in this power trio assignment is DC traction motors in bulk service. This is all but unheard of working the head end of a UP coal train. A little variety (or what passes for variety today) is a good thing! |
