Remarks & Notes
The Salt City Express (named for Syracuse, NY) nears the end of its run as it slows for the platforms at Croton-Harmon. Built in 1976, this Rohr RTL Turboliner was brand new (in fact so new that my dad and I had come out in hopes of getting a last day of E8s with regular equipment instead of the new Turboliners). Although we only saw Rohrs that day, the E8s would actually last for at least a year more as the new equipment's kinks got worked out. Here's a view of the - Beeliner next to it.
