A quartet of 4-axle "heritage" power leads the empty Interbay garbage train through the Columbia Gorge. Despite being the normal power for over a decade on the garbage trains, a year ago it was tough to get a solid GP consist. SD40-2s ruled these trains in 2008 but even those have been displaced by the economy and lease returns. Now modern GE power commonly holds down the Roosevelts.
