Serving as mid-train power are B36-7s 3817, 3818, and 3819 (six 4 axle, high adhesion units, including 5 of the 6 B36-7s owned by Southern Railway). Just ahead is the crossing with the L & N. Trailing the power is a loaded coal train for Georgia Power Company's Plant Wansley, located at Carrollton, GA. The B36-7's were built 6 months earlier in March 1981 and on Thanksgiving weekend 1981 would all be in temporary storage at Southern Railway's Atlanta Peagram Shop complex.
