Reflections on 100 Years of Nevada Northern Steam! An elderly pane of glass in the Nevada Northern RIP Building reflects the image of Locomotive 93 steaming in front of the East Ely Engine House on a frigid February morning. Just two weeks before this shot was taken, #93 celebrated its 100th anniversary. Not just 100 years of operation, but 100 years on the very same rails. That makes her a member of a very exclusive club, which includes Cass Shay #5, Sierra #3 and several of the Mt. Washington engines. If the railfan gods favor us, NN's Baldwin #40 is scheduled to join the club in 2010!
