| NS C-31 caboose 555582, a veteran of many years service in the Appalachian coalfields, rests on this mild April evening in the yard at Yuma awaiting its next assignment. NS still rosters a sizable fleet of cabs in this part of the country due to the lengthy shove moves associated with coal branch line railroading.
