| Between several metre high snowwalls the train of the Rhätische Bahn is winding his way up and over Bernina pass. Winter still rules here 2240 metre (or about 7350 ft) above sea level near the north shore of Lago Bianco (White Lake) just at the divide between Black Sea (via Inn-Danube) and Mediterranean Sea (via Adda-Po). In the background up in the hill there is the Bernina pass road (open for traffic), although hidden behind high snowwalls. |
