| Eastbound Amtrak "Missouri River Runner" arriving at Kirkwood Station only four minutes behind schedule on a beautiful first day of spring as several passengers and railfans anxiously await. Amtrak trains have experienced an excellent on-time record since freight traffic has decreased greatly, due to the tough economic times for the freight railroads whose tracks are shared with Amtrak.
