Remarks & Notes
A pair of Britain's newest class of high-speed trains built by Hitachi in Japan, Nos 395 004 and 395 002 speed past the camera at close to 140mph on a driver training run from Ramsgate to London St.Pancras. Note the shoe beams attached to the bogies of the leading cars to pick up current when working away from the 25Kv overhead supply. Also the front spoiler has been damaged due to hitting a piece of tree earlier in the run!
