| This CSX B40-8 was built for Conrail in May 1988 as their 5081, then to NS 4811 after the Conrail merger. The former CR/NS B40-8s are now once again together on a common roster. Now serving CSX as their 5973 the unit is seen in early moring light waiting to be picked up by a company ballst train A008, but theres a problem. The unit will not start due to dead batteries and also the water has been drained because of the freezing temperatures. So it is slated to take a trip to the Tilford Service Center and waits on A727 which will carry the unit to Atlanta. |
