| Nevada Northern's Alco #93 charges southbound through Lackawanna Crossing enroute to Keystone on one of the museum's locomotive rental excursions. Fresh from a major running gear rebuild, the locomotive was thought to be in excellent shape and her crew was making good speed on this February morning. Unfortunately, when she returned to Ely from this trip, one of her axles was discovered to be running very hot and a decision was made to confine her to the yard for the February photo shoots. |
