Pan Am-leased six-axle locomotives have been a steadfast sight on the railroad's west end, with six-axle power rarely moved east from Waterville to Bangor, ME. HLCX SD40-2R is seen as the first leasor to make it east of Waterville on its return trip from Northern Maine Jct. to Waterville, ME on Saturday, January 31 in a steady snowfall at Burnham, ME.
