Remarks & Notes
On my 1992 trip to Colorado, the last thing I expected to see on the 'Creede Local' was one of SP's three D&RGW GP60's! Rio Grande 3155 lead the 16 car train and a D&RGW caboose through the San Luis Valley at Parma on the westward journey to Monte Vista. The GP60 would turn on the wye at Sugar Jct. and return caboose hop to Alamosa, Colorado.

A compilation of DRGW's La Veta Pass route to the San Luis Valley now operated by the SLRG. With Rio Grande Scenic passenger operations coming to a close in 2019, the Alamosa sub is once again freight-only, as reflected here.
