Remarks & Notes |
A trio of classic EMD GP30's lead Rio Grande's 'Rock Train' along the Tintic Branch at Springville, Utah. The 3001 has stopped in the small yard to pick up five gondolas loaded with old ties. GP30 #3001 was built by EMD in April 1962, and was a member of a fleet of 28 D&RGW units, many of which served actively until the SP-UP merger in 1996. |
