The countdown to sunset has less than an hour to go as PSX97, the Santa Special, rumbles across the bridge at Deep River Creek. On point today is Consolidation #97, a superheated Alco product that has been plying The Valley Railroad for nearly 40 years. (Note to self: Next time, a rubber raft would be useful for shooting this location!)
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
